I've been holding on to this website with plans to activate it when we retire and start traveling full time in an XPv1. When an opportunity came along to acquire a lightly used version of the camper we had been dreaming of on an extremely well maintained Dodge truck, I couldn't let the deal pass me by. So the camper came earlier than expected, I guess the blog will too. Take a look, leave feedback, do whatever you do with a blog.

WOW so awesome.  I wish there was a way I could subscribe to the blog; didn't see a link for that anywhere.

Question -- it looks like there were four of you on the trip?  How was that space-wise?  Did you put the table down and turn it into a bed for your kids?

I think there's a way to subscribe, although I won't be nearly as prolific as Sam and Erica as we're only occasional campers right now, unfortunately. I'll look to see how to subscribe.

It's a little cozy for four of us sleeping but bigger than our last rig. It's big enough for everything else though The Thetford gets a work out! We tried different sleeping configurations with three in the big bed and one on the dinette bed. Each time the person in the middle got too hot so next time, we'll try individual, light sleeping bags for the three on the bed. My wife and girls fit ok sleeping three across width wise. So long as they didn't want to stretch out completely, they all fit just fine, 5'5" to 5'2". An extra body pillow on the shelf between the bath and bed may help there. We'll keep trying options to see what works best. I've also thought about fabricating a table to fit between the door and sink that a custom pad could make that into an extra bed with a shared footwell on the longer side of the dinette. My girls are 13 & 15 so any solutions are relatively temporary as they'll be camping with us less and less.

Mrs. R here.  With that sky light over the bed, I found myself unable to sleep because I kept looking at the stars.  I LOVED IT!!!  I did have to limit myself and close it off so I could rest.  I came home after our first trip and wanted to be on the road and not at the house. I loved how less was more.  Ready to cull down the house in prep for those years.  Very much looking forward to our retirement years when this will be full time.  As for now, looking forward to weekend adventures when they can fit in.

Here is my latest blog post. This one isn't about adventure, its about the modifications to the truck and camper. I think its pretty done at this point but I'm sure I'll continue to fiddle with it over the years.

We needed to make a trip to XPMecca for some upgrades so we made a short adventure out to it.

We haven't been camping much, at least nothing noteworthy, but we did do a day trip to see the Superbloom at Death Valley National Park.
